The Franklin Chart — Daily Virtue Tracker
The Franklin Chart keeps Benjamin Franklin's 1726 method of moral self-examination: thirteen virtues, one given close attention each week, marked on a weekly chart, with a short evening reflection.
Each week the app gives one virtue your close attention. On any day you fall short of a virtue, tap its square to record a fault — the aim is not a perfect chart, but to watch the marks grow fewer over time. Each evening, the examination guides a brief reflection on the day.
Why mark faults instead of successes?
Because that is Franklin's method. He recorded only where he slipped, and found quiet satisfaction in seeing those marks diminish week by week.
Where is my data kept?
Entirely on your device. Nothing is uploaded, shared, or tracked, and the app works completely offline.
How do I start over?
Use “Begin a fresh course” at the bottom of the app to clear all entries and begin a new thirteen-week cycle.
Can I write what a virtue means to me?
Yes — tap any virtue to add your own definition, in your own words.
